Turbobucker

Bridge: Proprietary undersized Ceramic 8, 13.7K, 8.4h

The Carondelet Turbobucker is the first-ever signature pickup for Scott Dalhover of Texas bluesmetal patriarchs Dangerous Toys. Turbobucker is a medium output bridge humbucker with a Carondelet-designed undersized ceramic magnet at its core. It is surrounded by a somewhat underwound, vintage-voiced coil assembly; and string-reading slugs made of different steel alloys to fine-tune each string's treble response.

Turbobucker’s resulting signal is balanced, articulate and harmonically rich when played clean … and pummeling and cutting in overdrive mode, thanks to that authoritative ceramic driver. Lows are tight and focused, highs slice without ice or brittleness, mids are chewy. While it is truly at home slamming the front end of a high-volume British-class amp, Turbobucker delivers the goods in pretty much any scenario ranging from insane high gain to pristine clean.

Scott is a founding and active member of Dangerous Toys, one of Texas’s most popular, acclaimed, and longest tenured hard rock bands. Legion of the Dog is Scott's additional current project.

Turbobucker includes a card signed by Scott and Jeff telling the story of their pickup collaboration and their friendship, as well as a personal guitar pick from Scott's touring stash.
